Amicus

Downtown Deagu, in the basement of the Migliore Department Building is a huge pub/brewery/steakhouse called Amicus. It was new and looked pretty cool, so on my birthday I decided that I wanted to go there to check it out, grab some grub and hang out with my friends to celebrate my b-day in Korea. What a blast! Amicus rocks, they have a great cheese covered Don-gassa and excellent live entertainment. One of the bands was this cool little jazz band, one of the members began to play a long sax solo and walked through the crowd to play to the ladies. Craig, being the mastermind of complement, waved him over to play for me since it was my birthday (see the last pic for a shot of this embarrassment). I said to the guys after, if you want to do something cool for my birthday, get the rock band to sing me happy birthday, not some jazz band to serenade me like a girl, arg! Well, they did just that. Understand, in Korea pop is king, so you hear nothing else. Coming to Amicus and hearing a wicked live rock band was awesome and the lead singer was super-hot. Not only did she sing me happy birthday, but she sang a couple other songs to me and the owner of Amicus grabbed me and pushed me out in front of the stage to dance (in front of like 200 Koreans) and so me and the gang danced our asses off in front of them all while the rock band rocked on! I had a blast! On the way out of the place a Korean man jumped up and grabbed my arm, shook my hand and said I was an excellent dancer! Oh yeah! Ha ha ha ha ha ha! Of course, after Amicus we went to Funkaholic and I danced my drunk ass off even more. It was a messed up night, but fun as hell!

1: Pete, Judy, Jeff, Me, Paula, Troy, Craig and ?? 2: Oh Happy Birthday! 3: Wicked Rock Band!

1: We dance! (and had a blast!) 2: She sings! (and is too damn wicked!) 3: Cool Jazz Band!

Only in Korea is it cool and in no way gay for a guy to be serenaded by a Jazz dude on the Sax.
