Jeju-do: the Island of Jeju

Jeju (the -do just means island) is Korea's own little Hawaii, the #1 Korean Honeymoon spot and sub-tropical to boot. So off we went, thinking it a good idea to ferry across the Sea of Japan and East China Sea to do so. BIG MISTAKE! Well, ok not really but sort of, I mean it was cool to boat across to jeju, but NEVER AGAIN! 30 of us to a small room, no air flow and over 12 hours on the sea. Once was educational, twice would be just sadistic. Especially after we got to Jeju and found out it only cost us an extra $20 to fly direct from Jeju to Deagu! (which we did instead of boating back). Jeju itself was pretty damn cool, despite missing a lot of it because we were so damn tired that first day that every time we got onto a bus we would fall asleep. However, once we got ourselves situated we made a damn good trip out of it. Of course we had lots of help. Mr. and Mrs. Kim (our bosses of bosses) owned a country home and a beach house on Jeju where they spend every weekend, so they invited us to stay with them and for the rest of the weekend they guided us around, it was excellent! Thank you again Mr. and Mrs. Kim, your hospitality was most generous and I enjoyed my stay with you.
