Welcome to a Journal of my Adventures
In university I met a fellow from Cape Breton by the name of Troy. He graduated a couple years before I finally finished X, but we kept in touch while he went off to Daegu in South Korea were he was teaching English. He was making a pretty penny at it, experiencing the wonders of a different culture and having a blast at the same time. For many reasons ( Money, the Experience, the chance to have a big Adventure, etc ) I decided that it would be good for me to go on out as well, follow in his footsteps as it were. By the time I was ready to head out to Korea, Troy had been there for almost four years and he set me and another university friend of ours, Jeff, up with a job at LIKE ( Languages International Kim Enterprises ) in Daegu. And so I arrived on April 8th 2003 and began teaching immediately on April 10th! Check back often for updates on this page and if you think you might be interested in coming on out to Daegu to teach, drop me an e-mail. I'd be more than happy to set some people up with a job with LIKE.
