Eden Falls: the Okotaru
-- a Story for Kindred of the East --

Blade of the gods
cut through the horizon...
Three lands bound together
with dragons breath...
Comes the child divine
to open the door...
And all things
to their rightful place...

As the Great Cycle revolves ever onward towards the end of an Age, the Dragon Tracks of the Middle Kingdom alter, ebb, shift and surge. These vast lines of Chi power that spider web the world change and as strong tracks cross each other, new Dragon Nests are birthed into the Middle Kingdom. With the coming of these nests are many possibilities... gateways into the spirit worlds... currents of Yin and Yang Chi... ancient treasures and horrors thought long lost... lifetimes worth of enlightenment... and new mysteries...

One such vast network has revealed itself to the courts of Kuei-jin, foretold to herald the birth of a child touched by the Heavens and bearing the keys to a paradise of spiritual harmony. A triangle of unprecedented Dragon Nests stretching over continents and oceans to touch the Green Courts of South Korea, the Wretched Lands of North America and the Lost Paradise of Tibet.

Sokkuram Grotto
The Korean peninsula, home of the Green Courts, is known as the crossroads of the Middle Kingdom, a network of safe travel for Shen moving between China and Japan. One of the densest and richest series of safe houses resides in Kyongju, the capital city of Korea's ancient Sila Kingdom. Mostly a tourist site of ancient tombs, museums and festivals, it also houses many Kuei-jin wu overseeing the crossroads. In the nearby mountains, on the slopes of Mount Tohamsan is the Sokkuram Grotto, a cavern Buddhist temple which serves as the Shen doorway to Japan. It is here, in the mist shrouded grotto that the first massive Dragon Nest formed and is the only nest of the three that is strongly occupied by the Kuei-jin.

Okotaru Tea House
In the mountain valley town of Eden Falls, in the Rockies of Canada, is a small traditional Japanese tea house. The Okotaru struggles to bring a taste of home to the local Asian communities and those who enjoy the cultural comforts of the far east. It is the Okotaru that houses the second major Dragon Nest and more enigmatic is the number of gathered Dhampyr who own and work within the Okotaru and yet remain unaware of their own uniqueness. It is the Okotaru and its Dragon Nest that the Kuei-jin will be investigating to find out what significance it may have in the fulfillment of the prophecy.

Forbidden Tibet
Nothing is known about the location of the third Dragon Nest, other than it is in Tibet. None who have been sent have ever returned, but the location itself is more than enough to incite upheaval within the courts. Could it be that Tibet may once more open to the Kuei-jin?
